Yea, it definitely says “Torque” in the top right. ???
Im waiting to judge the new camaro after i see and drive one.
I’m on some of the 5th gen forums and the consensus is the LS2 is out because it’s been replaced with the LS3. LS3’s are manufactured in Ontario as will be the new camaro so it seems like an obvious fit. unless you’ve got some info that nobody else knows about… Maybe you’d like to share on www.camaro5.com ? Bring your flame suit if you mention the LS2.
well that info came to me from our Chevrolet rep and I asked him about the LS2 going away and he was insistant that it would be in the new Camaro… I’d rather have and LS3 but that’s what I’m being told
PS… I’m going to check out that site…probably sign up
Not feeling it and the convertible is HIDDEOUS
That site’s good because one of the developers posts pretty regularly (Fbodfather), pretty much he just squashes dumb rumors, but at least you know someone at the top is listening to all the camaro junkies out there.
thats cool… nice to know the common car nut has a voice
these are making me impatient
:word: Damn right! I love how when the CTS-v Guys had a meet, GM brought out the 09 to show it off to the guys that truely love the car, and 5 months before it goes on sale publicly.
 to GM allowing their loyal, enthusiast customers have a voice!

CarTribe has procured a few shots and the initial details of the production Chevrolet Camaro ahead of its official unveiling this Monday. According to their report, the Camaro will come in LS, LT and SS trim, equipped with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic. Of course, that doesn’t account for the RS car that is shown in the official photos, so who knows what the whole story is.
Engine choices include either a 296 hp, 3.6-liter V6 or a 416 hp 6.2-liter V8 which will feature cylinder deactivation to boost fuel economy. Underneath the retro sheetmetal is a full independent suspension and StabiliTrak traction control system. Four-pot Brembo brakes are mounted up front on the SS variant, and the 3,700-pound coupe will reportedly have a weight balance of 52/48, front/rear. The neuvo-retro theme is carried inside with a gauge cluster inspired by the 1969 model, along with leather seats and blue LED lighting.
I’m meh on the RS option. RS originally came out with the hideaway headlights and different taillights. Curious to see what they designate as an RS package and if they offer a SS or Z/28
Well, you yourself just said they’re gonna have an SS.
I like the independent rear, it’s really the ponycar’s shortcoming in this day and age.
I really really want one
it may be true but people on ls1tech are saying wait until the official unveiling tomorrow to be 100%
i planned on posting after tomorrow’s conference, I won’t be sleeping tonight

Who’s getting one?
[/LEFT]
Cliff notes: LS, LT get ~300hp DI VVT V6, SS gets the 422hp LS3 (manual) or the 400hp L99 (auto), LS3 variant with cylinder deactivation
Cool Beans.
Now to convince the wife that we need one
8.9 quarts of oil on the v8? holy…
