if i had to guess, it is not a core 2 duo. since it’s a few years old, the seller probably got it when the core 2 duo’s were just coming out

chino, it is still a great laptop. I wouldn’t run just because of the core duo vs core 2 duo. I run a mac with a Pentium D and that one runs great even.
P.S. before anyone asks, not to be a dick but $1500.00 i’m not moving from an inch. I really don’t want to get rid of the thing that badly…

It’s a great albeit somewhat underpowered system and you clearly want to hang onto it.

And FWIW I dislike the new macbook pros alot. I hate that chicklet keyboard crap. Personally I dislike glossy and you no longer have the option of matte screens either. Last generation MBP for the WIN!

Glossy is FTMFL if you work in certain lighting conditions…like other than a dungeon. J/K bout dungeon, but it’s not good for my environment.
