how much faster would this be w/ a vtec head? Could this easily be a low-mid 11 sec car with tuning and over 15psi?

I wouldn’t tune for anything over 16psi, but I think you could squeeze mid 11’s to lower 11’s out of it with a good tune and a built bottom end on a vtec head.

why wouldnt you crank it past 16psi if you built the bottom end?

ehhh i just wouldnt unless on race gas. nobody really tunes above 16psi on pump.

there’s a lot of people that boost more than 16lbs on pump lol

just thought I would join in here. this is actually my old car I personaly built it no shop work done at all. it orginated as a lets see just how fast we can go on almost no money cause my wife would kill me project. the motor is TIGHT! tolerances were spot on for oe honda factory. the head was ported by my brother inlaw who is by the way AMAZING! and learned from our machinest dam exhausts were nearly mirror. the car did run 12.2@112.9 in the quater BUT this was done on a basemap due also to being on a budget. on 112 race gas. and that pass was only at 13-14 psi no higher. it has a lot more potential there is no less then another 70whp left in this motor with a tune on pump.it has arp rod bolts installed so vtec was a option in the future and 9k shifts would not be a issue, as well as a vtec oil pump. and walbor 255lph fuel pump. it will easly runn low to mid 11’s tuned on race I would put any money on it. any ?s feel free to ask me if ya want to. I would like to keep seeing her in action.
