I think it works becouse of the gold/pink grafic on the windshield. I dont think it would look right without it to tie it in. I think its O.K…

I think what you like is the overall look of the car, the lip, the tint, the pink STI badging. the white one looks gross but that becouse its a stock wrx with nothing to accent the bird.

Actually, everything you pointed out, I would change. The pink badges need to be gold and the windshield banner needs to be removed. I just like the gold bird on the black car.
