all tube, tubs, 732CI injected blown nitrous mountain motor. Go 6’s or go home.
thats way too much car to have an sr20 pushing it… Id say 427 or 454 with a 6 speed.
get the tow truck done first

getting new powervalve n jets soon !!! gotta figure out what 1 step hotter plugs are
i think an old style motor with a carb would be interesting, but im sure it would be easier to put a LS2 in the car, but an LS6 would be bad ass (but im sure you would pay a pretty penny for one of those).
Uhhh, LS2 > LS6. Same HP and more TQ (I’m not talkin’ GM ratings here, but real-world results). The LS2 has LS6 heads plus many improvements and .3L more displacement. The only part that is said to be worth less HP is actually the 90mm TB & Intake which have actually proven to make less power than the LS6 stuff (at least on otherwise stock motors). Also, LS2s are probably fetching more $ than LS6s right now. And there’s more $ involved in puttin’ a LS2 into a LS1 platform (such as the '04 GTO) since some major sensors are relocated (cam position sensor, knock sensors).
Anyway… I see no reason to put a carbed big block in it like so many are suggesting. Gen III/IV motors have proven to make more rwhp and better area under the curve than most street-able carbed BBCs. So why put more weight in the already heavy car for less HP?
So my vote goes for whatever is readily available to Pewter: LS1/LS6/LS2. Just mod whichever one you have ready to the power level you need.
