Hardcore race closeup pics

Yeah… I watched the auction end, no reserve. I cried.

It didn’t sell for $13K, the owner is on Rennlist and the auction was sacked. The car was at Daniel Jacobs LLC awhile back(CT) when I was doing an PPI on the RSA. There are very few factory prep 993 GT2’s, the Aero alone on the car is worth more than $13K, so when one goes up for sale the Porsche community knows about it. That car retails for over $120K to purists. If it sold for $13K it would have been in my garage by now and I’d be whooping JClark around the Glen with it.

Let’s keep OT out of this thread. Plenty of bandwidth for it elsewhere on the forums :smile Pretty please…

O no you didden

oh wow there really is an automatic pit speed limiter? I thought that was just in video games :excited

well i imagine that after doing lap after lap at speeds, slowing to pit speed and holding it might be tough, considering some pit roads are long, sure beats getting a penatly.

Even slowing down to highway speeds from 140 makes you feel like you’re doing 20mph, I can only imagine what it’s like to go balls out for 30 mins then have to pit to 50mph or less.

PIMP Porsche. A similar switch panel is on my to-do list for this winter.

Pit speed limiters are common now. It’s easy to break the speed limit when you’re racing for every second and just want to slam the gas down. It’s more for leaving the pits than entering for most.

New Motec units have it built in. I cant use Motec, so I have a super high-tech dash mark on my speedo gauge. ;D
