Mike KK you’re missing the point of THIS thread. He went on a rant bashing drinking as a whole then defended texting while driving saying he can do it and hasn’t hurt anyone YET…

And o yea I’ve done some stupid shit while driving but never try to defend it

Then his mistake here was combing two beefs into one “point”. When they clearly are two different topics.

I’m not saying what I’m doing is safe,because it’s not and I know that. I agree with Sully that ANYTHING (even changing the radio station) can be deadly when behind the wheel…but to say that texting > drunk driving…you have got to be shitting me.

A drunk guy could just mash the gas pedal and do 110 without even knowing it. I can’t see a texter doing that. Can you? Maybe veering out of the lane, sure. But having NO CONTROL (not just steering, but speed/braking too) over the vehicle due to his drunk ass? Not happening with a texter. Texter could at least attempt, coherently, to correct the speed/braking/steering of his 4000lb weapon.

I was at the game, like I said. I saw a guy get up to get a beer. When he came back…he had NO IDEA where his seat was (surprised he even knew the section). He stood there for a few minutes before I realized his dilemma. I had to help him find his seat (he was a couple rows in front of me). Even after I pointed and told him, he looked at me for another 5 seconds before what I told him processed. You’re telling me that me texting is more dangerous than that fool getting behind the wheel?

And you say I’m ignorant…right.

Anyway, RIP to the folks who died. Hope this guy goes away forever.

All he was saying is Drinking is baddd UmKay. Texting is baaasss UmKay. But if you took one drunk and one habitual texter, put them on the road together, the drunk guy stands a higher chance at crashing becasue being drunk fucks up ALOT more aspects of the human body than thinking of some words and typing them into a keyboard. And he is 100% right. And everyone keeps throwing the YET in. I think he made that as a joke about a squirl, and i highly doubt he takes that same cynicism towards hitting a person. Infact the use of YET tells me he understands the consiquences if his actions were to cause an accident.
