it performs better than most super cars for 1/4th the price
1/2 the price of a F430 or a Gallardo.
But if I have the free cash to spend $200k on a Lamborghini or Ferrari, or $100k on a Chevy, I’m going to buy the former every time, performance be damned.
And a Toyota for when the Lambo breaks.
Please show me where you are going to touch a NEW F430 or Gallardo for anywhere even near $250k?
swing and a miss
:mamoru:
i hear 360’s are a maint. nightmare… 430’s are much better…
the 450 should be out soon which woudl cause the 430 to drop resale rather quickly
:roflpicard:
Fail.
(You can even get a LP560 for less than $250k.)
Next time, before you act the douche and call somebody out, make sure that you have the slightest idea what you’re talking about.
:fry:
i had 250 in my head for 430, but IDK what that was based on. Regardless, 2 ZR1s or 1 430, hands down.
I’d even take a smaller displacement model for more money if it was called the F420
WASSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Or, do what rich people do, get on the waiting list right now, buy one for sticker, put 5k miles on it, and turn around and sell it for $20k more than what you paid for it.
:eekdance:
I saw a ZR1 at a car meet here. Pretty rediculous up close. So sexy.
that is nice that’s what wiki says for MSRP, but go try to touch one for that price.
Hell look up MSRP of the 599 and look how much they are going for on the used market…
And if you read Ferrari’s contract, you do this and you will never get another one from them again, there are tons of stories and such that are covering this topic.
There is a bright red ZR1 cruising around. I saw it on Main Street in Amherst monday or tuesday.
I am looking for a Ferrari site that actually lists new car prices. I’ve found a F430 F1 with 178 miles for $179k in Chicago, but that’s as close as I’ve been able to get so far. Nobody lists them.
Lamborghini though? Yeah, Gallardos are under $200k, and the LP560-4 is under $250k.
Or did you miss the one that I linked in that very post?
EDIT: LA Auto Gallery starts their brand new 2008 F430s at $186k, 2009s for about $1k more. http://www.laautogalleryferrari.com/research/index.htm
Quit being so esoteric
its still just chevy quality
yeah beats having to run a 150 shot to hit mid 12’s…:mamoru:
this is kinda like the average “richish” persons supercar…
or the daily driver beater for the really rich people.
I doubt maintenance on this will be any more costly than that of a regular vette, just have to check super charger oil now and replace tires more frequently.
lol yup but find me 1 for $100k and I’ll let ya drive it.The SM I am friends with got let go and advised me that the word around the dealership that they weren’t going to get one even though they promised me until they were blue in the face that it was 110% locked up.
To be honest if they do make the Z-28 I’m pretty sure that I would buy one over the Zr1.Both are going to have the zr1 engine but the Camaro will be $50K cheaper and be numbered and alot rarer if they do what they are saying.
And yes there are alot of PPL in WNY that have some nice coin that you would never think.I would say the average GM,ford, union worker, policeman, fireman, etc over 50 that didn’t blow their money has over $200K stashed away and will never admit it.
Excuse me, wikipedia has spoken! / thread!!! :meh:
The individual that I know who owns one paid over $325k for his in '05. But hey, wikipedia says less than that so he must just be a moron who doesn’t understand the intrawebs and shoudl have bought from wikipedia… :bloated:
