I should pick this up, put a better motor in it and drift it. It would be epic! Smashed quarter panels FTW!

i hate you steve…

i want it to go to a good owner who WONT distroy it.
not like my Integra

teg = :rofl

Sorry it’s just I never see people drift these cars. I think it would be a fun car to slide in.

THeir front suspension sucks balls for angle. The few people who do drift them swap in rx7 steering rack and then have no power steering on a rack designed for power steering. Not really fun

The s2k can be drifted, it’s just hard. To make the rear step out at low to moderate speeds, you’ll have to pop the clutch or even double clutch with your right foot slammed. You’ll notice quickly that the car doesn’t have a lot of torque to keep the wheels spinning. The balance is amazing (near 50/50) but the short wheelbase makes it… uh, lively. VTEC (y0!) engagement makes the power curve another issue. I hear in some cars the engagement is smooth and in others it’s kinda harsh. In my car I’ve experienced both depending on my throttle position/current gear. I’d imagine hitting 6k mid-drift would make it really hard to keep the rear in check, unless you can keep it above that point the whole time. Weakest part of these cars is the diff and that will be first to fail from this kind of abuse. Comptech makes a reinforced one for the s2k.

Honestly I’d go for something that’s more suited to JDM drifto stylez in its factory spec, like an AE86 or S13.

Big toyotas are the WIN for drifting

It was a nice car Nick. But I know what you mean by paying off some debts.

Here’s to hoping you get a good sale for it. :beer
