You don’t need to slam into second so hard. You can “properly” shift the car, and do it just as fast without having your shift knob come flying off.

So, like I said before, I think you should take this opportunity to learn to shift properly. If you can shift just as quickly without pulling the shift knob off, then you are going the right direction.

but forget it…i’ve only had 1 idea from this thread…i didn’t plan on getting bashed on for the way i drive…i understand people have their opinion…but jesus…
i guess i’ll figure out another way to drive…because apparently i suck
