word… unless you are going to go with a larger wheel and a larger lip, I would stay away from a wheel with a small lip like that. It makes them look too small for the car.

I also think this particular wheel cheapens the look of the lexus, I would prefer stock over that wheel. I would stay away from lips in general, unless you want to pay big dollars for the ones that are actually going to look right.

The fat spokes are nice, but i would look at something without a lip, such as the ones Darkkstar used to have… that style anyway. you could get away with a 17 and look good. Anything with a small lip like (the one you posted) that is going to look at least one size smaller than it is.

I havent looked at wheels in awhile I believe he had a set by Moda, a subsidary of BBS, but they are reasonable.

Now here is a person with some sense and style that “gets it”.
This is exactly what I was thinking but too lazy to type out. Each car has a certain “character”. You dont put Honda rims on a Mercedes because it will kill the luxo, sleek, look of the car and reduce it to “cheap”.

I think the quality style and personality of the car is FAR more then just a car with a “Lexus Badge”. Statements like that are typical of somepne who either really dislikes the car or is jealous that they dont own one. The only thing that I think Toyota ever rebadged is their Camry line as the ES300.

Lexus SC300/400 is the Toyota Soarer in Japan
Lexus LS400 is the Toyota Celsior
Lexus RX 300 is the Toyota Harrier

Are these just “rebadged honda types” in the US

The IS300 was made to compete with the bmw 3 series . That was Toyota’s goal for the US market.
