I think it’s just a childhood thing… When I was a kid, all the “cool cars” were always red: Cameron Frye’s dad’s Ferarri 250GT California in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, many Porsche 911s, my dad’s MR2 turbo, E30 M3s, my cousin’s 16v GTI, my step-mom’s first Cabriolet, my parents’ 68 Camaro convertible, et cetera…
My first car being a bright red CRX probably solidified my love of the colour as well.
I would like to see a whole car done in Anthracite. It’s the bottom color of my truck. In regular light it looks really dark, almost black. But in sunlight or direct light it has an excellent shimmer to it that fades to the darker color away from where you’re looking. Almost like a phantom effect between black/grey/silver.
I know that guy, he’s one crazy motherfucker. That car is sick… I remember last summer the bumper came off so he just took it and threw it into the back of the trunk… talk about beater drift cars.
Magnolia Pearl Effekt aka pearl white. still the nicest oem color imo. if i wasnt building a car i would beat the shit out of, i would paint it that. but as it is, i never wash my cars.
