that’s the whole point BRO… Street cars don’t have 800lb struts, bald slicks and 700hp… so my argument is that at least put some skill into the equation… do you really think i give two fucks if a piece of shit cobalt and 300c roll race to see which car is faster? the whole point is to RACE THE CAR… to drive it…
I guess I’m in the minority when I enjoy driving my car to work and not racing anyone, simply driving… probably why so many people have ‘track cars’ and drive piece of shit’s all week… that’s not me, what do you drive to work?
and i’m only a FWD guy if i’m in my FWD vehicle… and i’ve been racing them, from a stop, since the late 90’s.

OHHHHhhh… so you are one of those people whose opinion and emotions change with what is convenient (what you own at the time)… makes perfect sense.
i would love to see the tire quality of all you roll racers. i bet atleast 25% have bald tires or tires that would fail inspection and 80% have tires not rated for those speeds.
I promise you right now, your car isn’t CLOSE to being able to go 160 in a standing mile and if it could, its not ready safety wise to run the standing mile. I’ve been to those events, the amount of safety equipment require to run even 160mph would astound you. You should check into that stuff before you start quoting it
Bro… obviously taste has never gotten through to you, but try this… ROLL RACING IS GAY AS FUCK… it’s fun on the drive home from work, but if you and your boys hang out at taco bell for 3 hours then drive 65-100mph on the parkway and high five, you are fucking faggots.

I get what you are saying. Its a street car but not a daily driver… I dont see a problem with that. I dont recommend roll racing for everyone. Lower hp cars are fine from a dig…they can atleast hook up at 35mph in first eventually. My 383 ran 11’s on motor and I could feel confident in racing from a dig on the street. I walked first out slowly before gettin on it but by 2nd it was hooked up… even top of first was hooking up on the big 295 tires.
I drive a 99 trans am auto 2.73 gear LS1 car with some bolt ons as my daily driver. I love it but I still find it hard to go from a dig with 3200 stall and street tires. It hooks rather well for what it is but going WOT at 35mph roll is its sweet spot. I’m much rather feel that rush than walk it out off the dig. At the track with good tires, its all about the launch. Just 2 different scenarios/applications.
But dont get me wrong I love driving my cars too. I’d much rather cruise around than worry about racing someone. Just too much to lose if something went wrong or you get caught racing. I take the back roads and carve some corners and burn the straight aways…my own private events that I enjoy. I dont need to race to have fun. I have a good time just talkin to people at car shows sometimes.

Basically new Bridgestone Potenzas 295/30/19’s rear, 255/40/18’s front… Y-rated to 186+mph, the rear tires are stock on a Porsche 911/996. Just 2000 miles on them in the past 2 years. I’ll never run bald tires on my cars. But then again I never been past 130 on the street and thats when my car was bone stock with catback exhaust… I’ve been 115 MANY times tho on my testing roads while tuning.
Heres the thing, i never said i hang out waiting for people to roll race. never. ever ever… your right that is gay as fuck. im saying if im driving out somewhere and someone rolls up next to me. i’ll prob go for it. i dont go lookin for trouble…Thanks
no way BRO, you’re for sure hanging out in parking lots bro’ing out with other bro’s while you oogle each others fly rides son. I think you two bro’s are starting some sort of bromance on pittspeed
Never said my car was ready for it. However my car does 160.Stock i believe it does 168. I have proven it quite a few times. I was just stating my preference when it comes to my favorite type of racing. I have no intention of actually taking my car to texas and going the mile.
you don’t need to go to texas to run the standing mile, if its your favorite type of racing, shouldn’t you follow it? Check out The Maxton Mile, its not a far drive and worth the trip to check it out. Are you on any LSR forums? If not, check into it, its a really tight knit group of guys. Check out Landracing.comwww.ecta-lsr.com, either one will give you tons of info if you wanted to even go out and check one out.

im curious to when you seen this, takes some power to break loose at 80mph and i havent seen a local street GN/Turbo T/ etc come close to those power levels spining at a higher mph the vehicle seems to stay straighter then it does at slower speeds, least my experience
what I was saying, young jedi, is if you’re all about it, get out to an event. You talk like you’ve been there and done that, technology isn’t everything. You kids now a days, sit behind a computer screen and watch youtube videos. If it wasn’t for porn and sexting you kids wouldn’t ever get laid because it takes to much effort to leave the computer screen </old man rant>

maybe it was wet out? We broke loose doing 70mph in a bolt on LS1 on damp roads…
