Straightening out a miata. Updates always in post 1.

why not get some real engine management and see if you can make the motor last a little while? might as well make some power with it while it can still handle handle like a miata. it surely wont if/when the 5.0 is installed

Straight and Miata aren’t two terms I generally think of together. I kid I kid looks good.

You might want to look into that leaky valvecover. Your new [to you] turbo won’t make it any better.

I hate it when they won’t start after you wash the shit out of the engine bay.

It happens, but atleast it looks good♥

Do you have a line lock yet?

I got a nice 944 turbo IC that would fill out that bumper :stuck_out_tongue:

what size injectors are you using?

you should grab a rx7 vaf

Looks good dude. Killer price on that setup. Should be good for a little more fun on track days
Glad you got something together to get the project moving.

Do work son.
Didn’t use the intercooler.
Just did the “greddy” setup.
The vortech FMU they provide and no intercooler.
And Yes, I will clean my engine bay, Might use real engine management and do have the seals.

fmu? is that safe to use?

minglor not sure if you checked it out but this has a list of plug ‘n’ play injectors for both your car and mine

http://www.miataturbo.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4288

i am running 360cc 1.8 gtx injectors

It is what is “recommend” for the set-up.
it is what comes with the greddy kit.

Not a huge fan of it to be honest.
If I continue down this path I’ll just go with MS

with the fmu your injectors are only good for 5-6psi on them small 230cc injectors

Yeah, Then people tend to go with the 1.8 injectors and add a little more boost or engine management and supra injectors.
Don’t worry too much, I did do my homework before doing this.
I have an 02 clamp and a set of the 1.8 injectors and might add a bipes.

always good to have some links to look things up if you need info

looks like a fun project. if you blow the rearend, ive heard of folks replacing it with T-Bird IRS rearends as they can take anything a miata motor can put out. 8.8" with clutch pack LSD.

 to this mini project… i like it

and a car to work on would help too :-p

k now go bump my hdate thread… and jerk off to my photos…asshole

Buhahahhaha.

Oil, coolant and boost shouldn’t become one frothy mix…

So yeah, Now what!

headgasket is toast already?

I love miatas!

edit: I hate broken miatas! lol
