wheel noise?

My rear passenger (or driver?) side wheel recently started making some noises. it gets progressively louder the faster i go, and makes a EErrrrrrr kinda noise, i assume its the wheel bearings but i haven’t got a chance to look into it yet

any ideas on what else it could be / how much this shit is to fix?

is the sound like a continuous whine? cause if thats the case, then it is, in fact your wheel bearings. The work can be done within a couple of hours if you do it yourself. if you get a mechanic to do it, the part itself will be cheap, but the labour will be more.

caution: dont wait to do it at the last minute, the longer its in there, the more costly it can become to replace.

yeah its a continous kinda hum, it doesnt pulse or anything. ill look into replacing it myself soon then

Anyone know if Silvia wheel bearings are the same as 240sx?

yes they both are similar

go to a importer and buy 180sx spindles. Problem solved.

no rust, wheel bearing, 90% time is good.

didn’t have time to do it myself in this weather, so brought it to local shop and it was done for 200, rear passenger wheel bearing. next one ill be sure to replace myself though

200 bucks lol

oh make sure it not your scatter shild that didn’t rot thru and its not grinding
