stange thumping noise

Well I finaly got the car on the road  Everything runs perfect! smooth, ect… The only thing I notice is a strange thumping sound near the midle of the car. Seems to happen around 80kph, on or off throtle don’t matter. Could it be the hanger bearing? (middle of drive shaft)

What do yo guy’s think

Cheers

Cody

maybe part of the exhuast is hitting the floor?

that would be under your feet though.

A bad hanger bearing IIRC, will vibrate your shifter severely on take off in first gear up until 4000ish rpms. from my experience when i had a bad bearing, i only noticed the vibrations in 1st gear mainly.

of course yours could be worse, or not as bad, who knows.

take it off, see how the rubber is, and if the metal collars/rings have ripped out of position. be careful though the rubber tears easily.

good luck

Deffinately look at that driveshaft coupler (thingy) Cody…

It could get realy messy if that fails…

hopefully its not the output shaft on the tranny

i just cant believe codys car is on the road… sick!

Ya took long enough eh? Still not done…trim and stuff

any pics? i heard you sold your gram lights, so what wheels do you run now?

nope, did’nt sell anything  car is winterized now can’t wait for summer!!
