ok so i got a new digicam and wanted to try it out… hung out with grimmick today and he took off his rear pegs and cleaned her up a lil bit so i snapped a few shots of our bikes… lemme know what u think. oh, btw camera is a Kodak v1003 10 megapixel point and shoot… quite nice for what it cost me.
one for props to dj from allstar graphics for hookin me up.
as for starting on the 600 i honestly think i would have outgrown a lesser bike too fast. if you exercise a little restraint while you’re first learning to ride, then its very tame. ive always known that just becuase the potential is there doesnt mean you have to go 100% all the time. just focus on what you are doing, be relaxed and aware and things sort themselves out. this has enough balls to scare the shit out of you when u want it to and is mild enough to be comfortable on just cruising. im not a small person at 6’3" and 190lbs so… i think i made the right choice FOR ME. not saying its ideal for everyone.
bike currently has a k&n filter, clear alternatives tail with integrated turns, rear fender eliminator with hideaway plate, aftermarket headlight bulbs (not sure what kind but shine blue), scorpion slip on exhaust, flush mount led turn signals and michelin pilot power ct2 tires. the vinyl was all redone courtesy of DJ @ allstar graphics in blue alphatape vinyl.
as far as future plans, id like to switch out the front marker lights to something a bit different…also looking into a full Akrapovic titanium exhaust over winter. im not a huge fan of the scorpion as far as looks or sound. id also like to go to a iridium double bubble windscreen and might pick up some carbon fiber fairings as well.
as far as the sti it sits as a lawn ornament still awaiting funds to put together a new motor. the intercooler and downpipe have been removed and the remains of the stereo (what wasnt stolen) ie the amps are in my house.
