I’m sure you’ve timed every which way from Rutland to the Northway, which is the fastest? I’m guessing getting on at exit 20. Ever take 22A to Granville and over to 149 to mix it up, etc?
I have taken that way but not in a while. My usual path is Rt 4 to 149 to 87, getting on at 20 unless Lake George summer traffic is heavy then I do 9L to 19. Fastest travel time is exit 20 or 19 at night on the way back. I’ve taken exit 19 and met the same semi truck or vehicle at the 9L/9 intersection a few times proving either one is about the same. My personal record is about 1 hour, 35 minutes from Schenectady. My friend did 45 minutes from Saratoga starting at 4am on a Sunday morning. No traffic is key.
