1997 Toyota Corrolla CE- $2500

Hi all,

The purge continues…

Selling my DD, a '97 Corrolla CE. The car needs nothing but a new driver. It has done the Buffalo -> NYC -> Buffalo turn every other w/e for the last 4 months, and has needed nothing but fuel to keep it going. Mostly because it is just about brand new mechanically, as of November of 2011 when I put about $1,200 into it (all receipts are there to prove this, and they are broken down chronologically in a 3 ring binder, which will go to the new owner). This does not include the $25 per month I pay for the Delta Sonic fast pass!

Some basics:

-1.6 liter (35+ MPG)
-Automatic trans. (shifts perfect, no noises)
-182K miles
-Very nice exterior (paints still shines great, some scratches/dings/dents, no rot, just barely some surface rust in the corners of the 1/4’s where they meet the bumper, can very easily be sanded down and painted if you feel so inclined)
-Near mint interior (I pulled the entire interior out and shampoo’ed the entire thing, upon getting the car)
-Sony CD player, works great
-Blue exterior/grey interior
-Near new tires, matching snows up front, matching all season on the rear

Brand new parts as of 11/2001 (all from Rockauto):

-Front brake pads, rotors, calipers (Both)
-Rear brake shoes, drums (Both)
-All brakes lines
-All fuel lines
-Fuel tank
-Rear “complete struts” from Leacree (strut, strut casing, upper strut bearing, spring, etc.). Both sides
-Complete exhaust from manifold to muffler (B-pipe, cat. converter, resonator pipe, etc.)
-All belts (PS, A/C)
-All fluids (brake, PS)

Basically this car is turn key, needs nothing, and will get you where you need to go, hassle free, for at least another 100K miles (albiet slowly). It’s as clean as any Corrolla I’ve seen from this vintage, and it’s great at what it does. Terrific A-B car, getting great MPG’s all the way.

A few photos from last November (Car was very dirty, bit it is very clean nowadays, as it’s been through Delta Sonic, prob. about a hundred times since then…)

GLWS Joe.

How do I know for sure it’s an auto transmission without interior shots?
I keed, had to poke fun at the horseshit in the other thread.
GLWS, looks like it’s solid and had all the important work done already. Bump for ya.

These cars are beast. Definitely worth it.

Thanks guys, I’m def. not worried about moving it, should go quick. I should mention, I got it on CL for 2900…put it for 2500 here…

Been in this car many times, looks and runs better than many cars half the age with half the miles. GLWS, someone’s gonna get a hell of a car for the money

Thanks Brian. Bump for some Craigslist flakers…

FYI, I’ll be in Portland for the next few days, so my internet access may be spotty at best…so if I don’t get back to people until Monday-ish, that’s why…

Back in town, pm’s replied, evening showings avail. all week…

SOLD.
