1998 Ford Escort ZX2 2 Dr 5 spd

Just bought this a few months ago to use as my DD and its time to sell already. I recently bought the boat and I need to tow it. This car has treated me very well since I bought it.
Recent work that has been done to it:
Oil change w/ new filter. (will be done again prior to sale)
Tie rod ends done
Battery was replaced
Factory stereo and speakers were replaced with a Pioneer head unit and JL component speakers all the way around. Totaling to over $600 alone! I have receipts for the everything, I bought the cd player and speakers from Darryls.

The car has around 115k miles and it runs flawless. Drives straight and shifts smooth. There is some rust on the rocker panels, but nothing to serious. Under the car looks great.

It gets about 28-30 MPG’s which is great and I hate that I’m losing that, but I need something bigger.

I’m looking for $2,500 or B/O. I need to move this quick, but i wont accept any lowballs. I can negotiate without the speakers and head unit, those are only 3 months old.

This car is very clean and will not let you down. Feel free to call me with any questions or to come take a look. Test drive only with cash in hand, please don’t waste my time and I won’t waste yours.

how are the tires?

front ones could use replacing soon, but the back ones are good. I was just going to rotate them, but never did. You could get the rest of the summer out of them before winter.

I’m open to offers on this. I have all the stock stereo and speakers for this and I will put those back in. I found a truck I like and i need this gone ASAP, shoot me an offer of you really think your interested.

Heres an update: Just put the deposit down on my 5.2L V8 gas guzzling truck. Im on the fence about selling this considering it would make for a great DD instead of the truck. I’m open to offers at this point, but for some of the offers i have received, I will just keep it and drive it. Its in too good of shape just to give it away. As much as I would love to use the money for the truck, I don’t have to.

So in short terms, if your offer is decent, I might sell it.
