Why is it that every single one of these I was looking at had blown motors? Did toyota just completely build these like shit? Ive been interested in about 6-7 different ones and each either "had a hole in the block or had a fresh motor. Those reasons are why I just ended up buying another honda lol.

Yeah no shit… I was also looking to buy one of these and noticed they all have blown or newer motors installed. WTF?
I doubt he’ll get $3k for the shell though. Those cars are very cheap. Id say more in the $1800-2k mark w/no engine.
It is a nice/clean car though. I wish i had the extra cash + time to fix it. MoM would love it for her bday.

The reason there are so many with blown motors, like the reason he is selling this one, hydrolocked. The CAI is located right above the front lip. Basically if you drive it in the rain with a CAI you’re going to get water in your motor if you hit a puddle. The CAI is a useless POS and all it does is cause problems.
I had no CEL with it… If its a POS then why do you want it lol
