2001 Honda Accord

Bump. Just ordered and will be installing sometime within the next month or so:

OEM oil pan, passenger hood squirter (sprays funky), RR latch, actuator, and knob (door lock was seized when I got it)
and
from rock auto: water pump, timing belt ‘kit’, oil pan gasket, rear drums, shoes, cylinders, and spring kit.

I really dont want to sell it, but I would love to be out of the payment.

$4500 Price is relatively firm bc thats what the loan payoff is along with doing changing all the parts above.

Free bump, nice looking car.

thanks! I am kind of hesitant in selling it because this car has been so good to me and I have no idea what I would do about another vehicle, but Ill cross that bridge when I get to it.

oem oil pan, fel-pro oil pan gasket, aftermarket flex pipe and down pipe to manifold gasket installed today. also put RR latch/solenoid in too

flange between cat and B pipe was leaking so I welded that up. the actual exhaust is solid.

timing belt kit and rear brakes going on shortly. rock auto sent me the wrong drums so I gotta deal with that first

bump.

I am selling to get rid of the car payment and ins payment. the extra $275/month would make RIT a lot easier.

I will also consider cash+ trade for a 92+ honda/integra or s10

you rebuild the brake calipers to in my shop remember lol Trade you for a CRF?

ha, that was just the one side because I let the pad get too low and it fell out. (all is well with the brakes btw)

and if the crf is road legal I’ll think about it

I couldnt wait any longer and just got new tires today. Same brand as last time and they lasted 35k miles.

bump

monthly bump! I want a 5 speed!!! (e30 325ix)

I’m guessing this isn’t selling because of the price compared to the miles, but this car appears to be incredibly well maintained.

Yea, that’s what I figured. One of these days I’m gonna do the timing belt and associated parts. Maybe saturday actually.

If you really want something different, you should figure out how much money you’ll waste in interest if you pay it off doing the normal payments. You should be willing to put at least that much towards the pay off because if you keep paying on it you will just waste that much anyways, and by that time it will be worth a lot less.

I never do normal payments and I could pay it off now if I wanted. But having cash in the bank just in case is worth the 8.5% apr I’m paying on the Accord.

That said, I just pm’ed a guy on e30tech about an ix in Ohio… I want a different car in the worst way.

edit: I have also since removed all but the actual Ipod cord. I broke the cell phone charger tip but the extra outlet is still behind the dash.

182,955 miles

Timing belt, balancer shaft belt, water pump, spark plugs, cap, rotor. DONE. New air filter in July too, btw.

I have rear drums, wheel cylinders, shoes and a hardware kit that are going on in a few weeks. Brakes are fine (no problems) but I noticed the linings were getting low so I just bought everything back in March when I got the timing belt kit. Price will stay the same though after this is done.

edited original post with updated maintenance info and such…

BUMP! I now have an e30 AND an e46. I think I am ready to sell the most reliable vehicle I have ever had

Recent maintenance on 5/30: Left wheel bearing, BOTH upper control arms w/ ball joints. Lower right ball joint and bushing.

BUT I was in a small accident last July. Will update with pic shortly. I have been driving it this way ever since. It’s only cosmetic damage. Just shy of 200k miles.

Price: $3k.

here are the new pics, taken today:

As you can see its not hit bad. The hood does latch properly, it just sticks up a bit. I never bothered to fix it and its been about a year.

EDIT: Check engine light has been on almost the whole time I have owned it. Its an emissions code, maybe p4047 or some shit? I just pull the appropriate fuse to clear the light, drive for 20 mins then get it inspected, never been an issue. I never did the rear brakes, just put drums on. Still have new shoes, wheel cylinders, and spring kit.

it also got a new passenger side axle when I did the bushings because I am an idiot and forgot to move the axle out of the way when adding heat to remove the bushing. I was going to re-boot it but the extra 30 bucks for a new axle was now worth my time.

EDIT 2X: car is now paid off and lien release will be here soon.

ha. I’ve been selling this for more than 2 years! hasn’t left me stranded or failed to start once. I have 3 cars and this is the least coolest so it has to go.

Price: $3k
