Norco Bomb BMX
Used
$300.00 O.B.O.
New price $250.00O.B.O.

First off, this is a beautiful bike, great parts and a strong setup. I bought this bike new March 23, 2002 for $401.35 from Impala Cycles in Whitby. I have a receipt to prove this purchase. Since then I have purchased:

(1) New front rim - unsure of make, probably Haro, as Impala Cycles tends to carry medium-to-high-end product - $120.00
(1) New rear rim - Haro ultra-strong rear rim - $160.00
(2) New outer tire tubes - $50.00

This bike was originally painted a nice red, but it received many scratches. I sanded it down, primed it with two coats of rust protection primer. Then applied two coats of Duplicolor’s replica colour of Toyota graphite w/ silver flake, with 3 coats. And then finished off with 2 coats of clearcoat. However, while it was drying it was hit by a basketball by my wanker of a friend, so it has a few imperfectios. But the fact remains, this is a quality bike that is meant to be ridden hard, so cosmetics aren’t that big of a deal. The only reason why I did it was to give myself a small project. That added on another $75.00 with paint and supplies.

So the value of this bike is just over $800.00. I am asking $300.00 O.B.O. Although, I don’t know much about the value of bikes and reselling, and so on, but I believe $300.00 is a fair price to start at.

The reason why I am selling this bike is because I don’t have a use for it anymore and I just want to clear some space. I should be able to take a few pictures if requested, but not until this weekend.

So if you guys are interested, throw me a PM!

n/p.

You ever take it off any sweet jumps? :naughty:

I got like three feet of air this one time

But seriously, I’ve only used it off dirt jumps, but I’m more into trails and stuff, but with bmx’s, not mountain bikes. That’s why I opted to get better, stronger rims, and a deep tread in the rear. (For anyone who was wondering that is interested in the bike!)

Trail riding with pegs [-X big no-no.

Super dangerous.

Goodluck with the sale btw. Nice bike!

I remove the pegs while I ride, only put them back on for pics. Although, I did learn that the hard way (funny story, lol).

Thanks for the comment!

Before anyone buys this bike, please note:
The MSRP on this bike is $359 as per www.norco.com (2001 bikes)

This bike IS 4 years old and very outdated.

It uses 1 piece crank (easy to bend), handlebars that I have seen bend a million times, brakes that never work well.
I have worked at bike shops for 3 years selling Norco bikes and this bike is only good for beginners. If you are thinking about doing anything more serious on this bike, I do not suggest buying it.

Any bike shop will have 2005-06 Haro bikes that will be about 20 times better than this bike in every aspect for just a little more money (the bike parts prices have been declining extremely fast).

I don’t mean to ruin your sale, but I think it’s fair for people to know this.
sorry to offend you in any way.

I do see why you’d feel you need to post, but I had never once stated it was a high-end bike. The only reason the price is higher than what it should be is because of the slight upgrades and the time spent into painting it. The fact still remains that it is a solid bike, so be it if it’s a beginner bike, it’s still solid. The fact that you included the price is somewhat ignorant though, as with the taxes in, it is $412.85; more than what I payed.

And hell, the price is OBO and I’m up to offers.

But please, if you do not want to purchase this bike, refrain from posting in my thread.

Thanks.

$250.00 O.B.O.

i MIGHT have someone who is intrested if you are a little flexable on that OBO ill keep you updated, where are you located?

pav pav i knew you would post

btw bikes deprechiate quickly in value and upgrades rarly add to the price

I’m in Whitby. PM me for offers, I’m still a little flexible. Let me know.

Thanks!

Bump!
