2006 Kawasaki ZX-10r *still under factory warranty*

Bump, saw the bike last night… the rear sprocket is missing 8 teeth now…

He was bragging about how he saw “158 mph” last night…

RIP zx-10r… it’s only a matter of time… especially if his new spocket doesnt come in today (pics to come of the old rear… from what I was told its pretty gnarly)

oh dear

Did this sell yet? What color is it exactly?

ANDDDDDD this bike is TOTALLED…

hopefully the new owner is ok. (from what I heard he’ll live, but i think its time to hang the helmet, 5 accidents, 3 totalled bikes in 2 years) Consider yourself warned and blessed.

wow, that didn’t take long. you called that one. keep us updated on his condition. think it was his fault? I know how them old folks drive down there…

i dont think it was him, I think the willybeen crashes of 2005-2007 coarse was on the bike, HAHA, miss you man and my butt cheeks you stareing at them. ( i hate spelling)

Did the teeth on the aftermarket sprocket wear down or something?

BTW i think this gen has the ugliest front end ever lol

I know will didn’t crash, the new owner did.

Sprockets were just replaced… story is, he was stopping for a redlight going 2 mph or so and a lifted f-250 rearended him going 30-40.

He’s got backpain, roadrash on his arm, and the bike went under the truck.

Hes lucky to be alive.

Deebo, if you rode one, and could go WOT comfortably on it… you’d fall in love.

I hated the lights at first, but they grew on me.

wow that’s awful to hear

What a shame :frowning:

Yowzers. :eek3:

On a happy note, he’ll probably get better with a couple scars… and he’ll probably get a tiny settlement (which will put that new BMW in his driveway, which might just end up being my borrowed bike of choice for the next 2 months till its wrecked as well)

Rear ended by an f-250 and only enough for an s1000? Unless you mean an s1, duc streetfighter, road king and a sic chopper.

was he wearing a helmet?

unlucky/lucky all at the same time. Hope he ends up ok with some cash in his pocket.

He’ll only get the guys coverage limits probably, seeing as how most people down here carry bare minimums… Guy was young too, and florida has awesome asset protection laws so lets get serious, is this “kid” going to have anything worth attaching to? probably not.

Bodily Injury Liability is not required in Florida normally for a driver even though it is advisable to have as part of your auto insurance coverages.

As we mentioned Bodily Injury Liability (BI) is not usually required in Florida as part of basic minimum auto insurance coverage but it can be required if you are at-fault in an accident and cause injury. Some CarInsurance.com carriers do not sell a policy without Bodily Injury Liability coverage included.

[Let CarInsurance.com help you find affordable auto insurance now.]

The Florida Financial Responsibility Law requires that any person at fault in a crash resulting in bodily injury and property damage to others must have in effect at the time of the crash full liability insurance coverage. This coverage includes minimum limits of bodily injury liability of $10,000 per person, $20,000 per crash, $10,000 property damage liability per crash.

LOL… thats not good news… he’ll probably only get 10-25k max if you asked me… he broke his wrist, he didn’t lost a limb. I saw the bike, from the “healthy” side it looks ok, i didnt see the rashed side yet.

Yes, he did have his crash helmet on, thank goodness he didnt buy the new arai for 800 that he wanted.

Also, against my recommendation he had the solo cowl on the bike at the time of accident. There goes 100 bucks he could have made simply by putting it on ebay. (I told him to keep the seat on as they can be replaced for 20 bucks on ebay, and its nice to not worry about scratching the cowl paint with a book bag) oh well.

RIP to your old bike. Your knee dragging pictures make me feel like a tool by the way.
