As I’ve never replaced these before, is this something you should do both sides on? Any compatability issues if you only do one side? Should any other pieces be replaced at the same time?
^ yes, you should change both sides.
Always change both sides. The ride will be all funky if you don’t as they are a wear item.
Nothing else has to be replace while you are in there. You can however give your bushing and the rest of the steering suspension components a good look over to make sure that nothing else is showing significant wear.
