i agree 110%
Basically, what they have done is create a 4th class of Viper. Previously, there were the Street versions [SRT-10/Coupe], the “Weekend Race Versions” [ACR], and the TRUE Race Versions [GTSR/Comp Coupe]. This is a niche in between the Weekend Warrior and the True Race version, and is in effect, a replacement for the current gen race car [Comp Coupe]. The Comp Coupe was a ground up race car, with virtually no interior, no lights, and pinned on body panels… sharing major components with the street car such as the engine, trans and frame. This new car starts as a street car, but has the interior gutted, the EPA restrictive exhaust removed and engine re-tuned, and then has a roll cage tossed into it… all delivered in a ready to paint primer finish. Otherwise, it has the advantage of being a “street car” in every other way, and can share parts with the street cars in a pinch… and I give it about 3 days until someone illegally VIN’s one…lol
2010 is one HELL of a year for the Viper. Limited production in every facet, more color combos than ever before, new available interior, record setting revised ACR, and now the full caged Comp Coupe “replacement”, the ACR-X.
Nice.
Ugh, yes plz! I WANT!
