It’s not a purist argument. Even the old I6s were light years better than the I4s. I just dont like FI motors when they are getting the same power NA.
I also have a vested interest in whatever BMW releases since I race BMWs that need BMW engines and transmissions. Half of the new equipment BMW is releasing cant translate directly into racing. Costs for me to do this in the future are going up fast.

Literally nothing anywhere on the body of that car will see production. Highly doubt it, it’s a test mule, it’s just to play/fine tune suspension geometry, and a platform to test the motor/trans.

To add fuel to the fire there are a lot of people on the bmw forums currently complaining about the lag on the 335/135s due to new software updates and wastegate cycling. Something you would never have with an NA engine…
