2011 Camaro Convertible

Officially unofficial information from sources close to the situation that the Camaro Convertible will be on dealers lots in the 1st quarter of next year… just before the nice weather arrives. It will be nice to get some in stock before the snow melts and since I already sold the black one I bought maybe I’ll keep driving demo’s until that one arrives.

What about the Z-28 version? Or is that still a pipe-dream?

At least this model isn’t super late or anything. Way to blow it GM.

I’d highly consider the vert and the coupe has horrible blind spots.

4,500 lbs? lol

yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss and they better damn well make a z

I’m sure they will

red vert, black stripes, 6sp to park next to my iroc please

Are the 2011 available for order or purchase yet? I stopped by Fucillo on my lunch today and one of the Sales people showed me the new HUD display. I’m officially hooked more than I already was.

yes, I have 2 2011 6 cyl Camaro’s here already

To All Chevrolet Dealers:

The next phase in Camaro’s successful return to the market starts today with the release of the official 2011 Camaro Convertible production images, and the announcement that the starting MSRP for the convertible will be $30,000 (including $850 DFC, excluding tax, title, license and other fees). Attached are the images and the release that is being shared with the press.

As previously announced the new Camaro Convertible features a fully powered, soft convertible top. Like the Camaro Coupe, the convertible will be available with either the 3.6L V6 or the 6.2L V8 engine. The six speed manual transmission is standard, and the six speed automatic transmission with tap shift is optional. Most of the coupe packaging carries over to the convertible. The exception is the convertible will be offered in LT and SS trim levels only. Like the coupe, the 1LT and 1SS trim levels feature cloth interiors, while the 2LT and 2SS trim levels feature leather-appointed interiors. The RS Exterior Package will also be available on the convertible.

The first dealer consensus cycle for the convertible will occur in early November. Prior to the consensus, an estimated production guide number for the 2011 model run (production from January through June, 2011) will be calculated for each dealer. The production guide number will be available for individual dealers to review on the new GMLaunch.com website. A message will be sent to all dealers when the production guide number is available for viewing in late October.

Although consensus will occur in early November, the 2011 Camaro Convertible Dealer Order Guide will not be available until November 15, 2010. Dealers can start to submit both stock and sold orders into Order Workbench on Thursday, November 18, 2010.

Production of the 2011 Camaro Convertible is planned to begin at Oshawa in mid January 2011. The official unveiling – with more production information – will occur at the Los Angeles Auto Show in mid November.

Over the next several weeks, more information regarding the upcoming convertible launch will be shared with you.

Until then, good luck and good selling.

I posted this over in the Z28 thread a couple days ago

Any word on a starting price for the LSA Z28?

nothing yet, I emailed but was given the classic “I don’t know what your talking about but I know what your talking about” response. My guess is somewhere around 45-50k… it would only make sense to put the base model under 50k and keep it in line with the Mustang.

Yeah since the 2009 CTS-V launched starting at 59,999.99, I find it hard to believe that the Camaro could start anywhere north of 49,999.99
