I just picked up a fairly clean 1972 Schwinn Continental 10-speed and am looking to upgrade a couple of the parts on it. If anyone has some cheap wheels I am not looking to spend more than 20 or 30 bucks; or if anyone has a 70’s or 80’s schwinn or panasonic that you want to get rid of I’d consider that too. those are 2 diffrent sizes.
i doubt you will be able to get a set of 700c wheels for 30 bucks. you will have better luck getting 2- 27x1 1/4 from a garage sale or garbage find.
Yeah I know, 700c has way more tire choices and only requires that you drop the brake calipers down 4mm to fit. I will probably end up with 27’s but i would prefer 700c.
