i dont have the gear that you guys have obviously, but im close to you dude, i usually shift at about 6200-6400 and i shift into 5th at about 125-130
yah thats the reason im asking. In the one race where joey starts to come around him, you can hear paul shift, and the car boggs…not revving it out enough.
The car has a procharger on it so MOST LIKELY it has a beefed up valve train…this means revv the fucker out!

with mhy 3.42’s I would shift to 4th around 125…5th 140-145
at lebanon with the 3.42’s I was going through the traps in 3rd at 116 with a few hundred rpms left.
well the gearing in my trans is diff than yours iirc
yah. 6500 im short shifting as well. My revv limiter is at 7k but I dont find it necessary to put the extra stress on the bottom end between 6500-7000 for a lousy 10-15 extra rwhp.

i may have short shifted into 5th, i wasnt paying attention to much, def sounds like it boogs down. My car stops making power at 6100rpms
LS6 intake manifold and that will help a bit.
valvetrain paull ,get it and a better intake setup
Forced induction doesn’t rely all that much on the intake manifold. I went from a Fast 90 to the not so hot LS2 and showed no loss.
camaro moved out…looked like at the push of a button!
it all depends on the setup(my 1.8t with a manifold/big port head was an easy 50whp gain on stock cams) but if the heads cant flow what the manifold is able to flow, then youre still hitting a restriction.
hes got alot of power to be unlocked with a good blower grind cam, a good set of heads and an LS6 manifold.

Paul is still on the stock LS1 intake manifold which is even too restrictive for a cam only car. IMO, he would see around a 20-30rwhp gain just from a LS6 intake manifold…

lol i dont know where you read that you clown, i do have a lot of power potential. I could put an alky kit, 317 heads with valvetrain and a blower cam along with ls6 intake. Then put it up to 10 psi. Who knows what kind of power id be making then but i COULD do it, prolly wont though, as least this year.
