55 gal drum burn barrel?

I have 2 barrels. How do I make the fireplace? Has to be done befoe the 9th so I’m grandfathered in before the Town of Newstead makes some damn law where I have to pay for a permit.

Plans/Ideas?

I know someone sells a kit right?
Anyone wanna lend a hand? welder?

Something like this could be easily fabricated right?

do they have to see it work? if not id say just put the 2 barrels together anyway u can and say thats it for the time being, then figure out how to do it right. use zip ties and duct tape if need be lol

your gonna use that for the inside of the house?? huh?

the barn/garage.

25x30 is decent size… should be able to make good use of a burner.

House is forced air, along with a nat Gas Fireplace in the living room.

That kit is pretty cool.

36" Clearances atleast.

I was looking for something cheaper, but looks like cast iron is the way to go. Everything else warps, and doesn’t seal.

how long will ittake to getthe kitto your house if u purchase it now?

considering the chimney flange has an adjustable baffle, and the front door has an air intake, youd prolly be better off just getting the kit, especialy considering its only $45

lol… I guess.

I think Hectors or ACE or Value might carry something like that. If it is dry out, I’m just gonna zip up to value and see if they have it. Might be kinda heavy for a back pack though

maybe harbor freight would have it ?

i just took a dump, and it isn’t in the catalog.

How much would you be willing to spend on a real stove?

And if you do the barrel. Please, Please, keep 3 feet all around. And I strongly recommend protection on any walls near by (if there are).

what type of stove are we talking here?

I was kinda lookin to go for the redneck look, but if you have something more efficient, and possibly safer… please gimme a call. 901-1081

I’m not exactly worried about price, but moreso a bargain. Making my own… would be a bargain… but buying one more efficient and safer… could also be, for the right price.

Tractor supply on transit in lockport carries the parts to make a double barrel stove including the black stovepipe.

I still have a brand new kit in the box you can use, if they are out of it. I got this for my previous shop, but never wound up using it.

Jack, I did a ton of research on these last year, and I can give u a cd full of articles I snagged off the internet

Paul, if you want to sell it let me know. Or I just take yours and replace it if tractor supply doesn’t have one in stock.

How much was it? I’d love to do a dual barrel setup.

I’m guessing about 75 bux, sure, use mine if u want and we can work the rest out later.

sweet. I will be contacting you tomorrow after work I hope.
