Hannibal - If it is an original 409 with matching numbers it is worth a whole lot more than 10 grand. I’ve seen them in Hemmings for upwards of 35grand for a really nice 409
The 396 was availible starting in 1965. The standard SS package in 64 had the 327 with optional 409’s…u could get the 340hp, the 400hp 4 barrel or the monster 2-4’s 425hp car. I think there were only 8-9000 409’s total.
There is no way that it’s a 409 if that wasn’t the first words of the ad.
