So, after thinking about this for a while, and looking at some old pics i want another one. I had one a while ago and loved the car, and now that i know a little bit more, i want to play around with one again.

I would prefer an rd2 (00-01) but if i can get an rd1 for cheap, id take it.
I also dont really care if its just a shell, or has some body damage - as long as its not completely gone/rusted out. I would also like it if it was a 5 speed. Id rather not have to swap if i dont have to.

Let me know what you got or if you know where i can grab one.

Yes, another Tib fan. I just picked up my 2nd RD1, needs some work but got it for only $300. Check out www.rdtiburon.com there are a few for sale on there, I think Viper’s turbo tib is still for sale, still one of the fastest RD’s in the states.

Im a member on rdtib from my first one, and ive been watching on there and contacting a few people. theres one im thinking about its just a little farther away than i wanted. And as much as i would love to have vipers old car, i kind of want to do this one myself…but if its a decent price i might have to think about it…

I’ve emailed the person with the first one you linked to and waiting on a reply back, the second one though i didnt see (ive never seen it spelled ‘timberon’) but i just sent him an email, Thanks.

edit: after looking on craigslist, i might look at picking up a gk tib, but only the 4 cyl w/ the betaII engine if anyone knows of one for sale.

Yep, ive been looking at that one. but i have no way of getting it back to buffalo.

Theres a green rd1 in elma im going to go look at for 6 that runs, just needs a wheel bearing replaced.

^^Right by the 400?? If it is I stopped by there a little while back and took a quick look at it. Not in too bad of shape from what I could tell. The rocker panel in front of the rear wheels is a bit rusted out, just like both my other ones. A little welding under the side skirt would fix it pretty easily.

as an FYI, i can still rip into these and fix pretty much ANYTHING that is wrong with ANY of the car quickly and cheaply

i miss the car so much. i dont care that you cant make it as quick as [insert faster car here] but i knew the car inside and out, plus it was my first car so…im really looking for another one.

And i think it is the one by the 400. I had him send me pics of the damage. wasnt as bad as i thought, but still not ‘perfect’…we’ll see.
