I know this is a long shot here but figured I’d throw it up anyways in case someone knows of a collector. This was found in my grandma’s house, we have had it checked out locally and have been told that it’s a Copy of Paolo Maggini Violin. This violin is at least 100 years old and dates back to the 1800’s. It was made in Germany and is in very good condition. Could use some refinishing and one string appears to need to be restrung.
Asking $700 or best offer.
Finder’s fee available dependent upon the selling price If anyone is interested or could pass the word along, I appreciate it. PM with questions or inquiries. Thanks!
This is like something from an episode if Pawn Stars.“Let me get a buddy of mine down here who’s an expert on antique musical instruments. This thing could be worth over a hundred thousand dollars…or be great for starting a campfire.”
^^Yeah it’s definitely one of those things. Have a couple people interested. Oddly enough, someone from a few hours away is planning to check it out when they’re in the area next weekend.
Yeah, real nice family bought it for their daughter who’s upgrading as she is getting pretty serious about the violin. Really happy with how this turned out.
