that price seems sky high for a mk4 with 180k on it.
^ +1
1.8t, 180k miles, running 16 psi, even if the engine was “freshened up” 30k ago its not worth that much. does look in good shape cosmetically tho from what you can see
Good to know, thanks guys
LOL… KBB excellent, which this thing isn’t, is $2300. That price isn’t just high, it’s crack pipe high.
Unless you honestly think his ugly rims and basic mods (that you don’t know if they were even done right) are worth $5k+ you’re crazy. Besides that, mods don’t normally increase value, especially on 13 year old cars that the mods almost certainly mean it’s been beaten like a rented mule.
Or this one, from a dealer so you get a basic 30 day warranty and know it was at least somewhat inspected, for $3500 asking price (meaning you could probably walk in with $3k cash and leave with the car)

Holy crap.
I’ll sell you my 01 TT for $19,000 instead. It’s got some mods also.
I’ll sell you my 24V VR6 with 130K and get you an escort for the night for $7800
24v vr6’s make REALLLLLY good exhaust notes
You should take him up on this
this is definitely the way to go.
Without the trade, that car would be a fair buy in the $2500 area depending on what is really done to it.
My 2010 GTI with 80k isn’t worth that much more than $8k hahaha.
