My buddy is getting rid of a pickup truck load of it, and is considering scrapping it. If anyone needs a bunch of it, let me know.

Cat5, no e on any of the cables.
There are some short lengths, some long, a few hundred feet total. It is all coiled up and organized.

Not much, Cat 5 is the first version and 5e is enhanced.
Cat 5e is certified for gigabit ethernet 10/100/1000 MBps while Cat 5 is just certified for 10/100 MBps networks.
i need like 60-70 feet, when and where can i get it?
I just emailed him and he said this:
“I just looked up prices for new cable and you can buy 100’ for $10. I am just going to scrap it. I was hoping someone wanted to buy all of it. I have a couple thousand feet I think.”

Cable is cheap, but the markup in retail is ridiculous. You could buy it and if you know people who need lines run, then you can make some dough.
