no they are not going to show these pictures, if they can help it. They litterally had to revome the victim piece by piece as they cut the car apart it was that bad. Last piece removed wa sthe guy’s foot from what I was told. (I have friends that run in that area).
Also I like the dumbass who was operating the spreaders without saftey glasses on and the spreaders broke and the line exploded. All that to “play hero” to a corpse. People need to use their fucking head…

i was talking to my chief and he told me it wasnt the spreaders, it was the ram tool being used to move the dash to get the guys foot out and it wasnt the tool that failed it was a pin hole in the line right next to the cuplink (sp). So really noone was playing hero they were just doing there job, but thats just my 2 cents
Whatever it was it was one of the hydraulic tools and since when do you operate them without saftey glasses
Evidently he was in such a hurry he “forgot them”
In alreality the OIC should have beat the shit out of him on scene instead of letting him pick it up and getting blasted in the face with fluid and taken to the hospital could have been avoided.
your exactly right i bet for now on that person will be wearing eye protection, but i know personally that sometimes when you are hurrying you forget some small things like “eye protection” and lets face it not every fire and rescue dept is NFPA compliant.
i mean have you ever watched a city fire dept go into a fire sometimes they dont even wear SCBA, or full turn-out gear.
It depends on the insurance company guidlines. There are no Federal or State guidlines for it. Some volley stations can only het their hands on trucks with tailboards due to finacial reasons.
