Okay, buddy, this isn’t an AOL chatroom so you can’t say “in my experience” it just doesn’t work.
It alters my opinion, therefore it justifies putting it down. Everyones opinion about topics are different, you may prefer british cars, i may prefer germans or something else, i do not know, but it is what changes our opinions that matters. No car magazine does not have a bias, they all accentuate their own opinions. I have mine, you have yours, whether you have personal experience in the matter or not, its a matter of opinion.
No, the point is that you can’t say “in my experience” to people that don’t know what your experience is.
However, thank you for derailing the thread.
And please be aware that before the 5.5 V12 DCX used the 5.8 V12 in the S600. There was no S65 at that point. They are fairly different engines. Unless your uncles car is newer or swapped, I highly doubt it could come with the 5.5 biturbo.

His cost closer to 130K new.
however back on topic.
I prefer the Vantage over the Rapide, purely on looks. just not diggin this.
Then it would be an S600 with the “why did I spend the extra money” engine:

I don’t even know why these cars are being compared:
- the S-class is too heavy to be sporty
2)it will be out of production before any car such as this Aston is produced
3)The regular XJ is already more fun to drive than the S-class (no amount of power can save that terrible car–you’re better off in an LS430 if you want boring). I have no doubt the Aston would be much better.
