Attn: classic Mopar Musclecar owners...

I am looking for a good forum to post some old Chrysler musclecar parts on.

My father has some items that he is looking to sell (complete 4 speed setup from a '69 Charger R/T, extra pistol grip shifter or two, NOS chrome valve covers for a big block, and more).

I tried searching for a decent forum, but I keep finding small, obscure forums, that I don’t think would be the place to post these items. I was hoping a few of the Mopar guys on here would have a favorite or two.

hey tod theres this other site i browse that has alllll kinds of vehicles, might have some luck on there www.carforums.net

check out www.moparts.org

best one that I know of

Moparts is good, I think you might have to make a few posts before you can make a for sale ad though. What all does your Dad have? E-Mail me with a list.

any whole cars? lookin for a challenger or a charger

No tellin what all he has, but the complete tranny setup includes fine spline 4 spd trans (all components from a 440 R/T car), flywheel, clutch, pedals & linkage, shifter, crossmember, & driveshaft

Also he has a NOS set of “B” engine (383,413,426,440 wedge motors) chrome valve covers mopar part # P4120609 includes two new covers, 12 chrome bolts, & 2 grommets (new in boxes)

2 ea pistol grip shifters: 1 short for non-console, 1 long for console

He is looking for offers on the shifters & valvecovers. The 4spd setup is $2500 obo. Again, this is a complete 1969 Charger R/T 4 speed setup in good useable condition.

I know he has more stuff, but he is a bit under the weather (he had a stroke in December, but is recovering well) & when he gets a little more mobile, we will be putting a list out.

If it was a charger rt is should have had the 18 spline hemi 4 speed. Which would be the course spline style. 18 vs 23.

That maybe true. I will check on it. I am used to GM’s 10 spline, so it looked to be fine spline. I did not count the splines. It was not a fine as my 26 spline T56, though. That would tell me it is an 18 spline. It is at my father’s house, I can check it if needed.

I love older Mopars, but have always been a GM guy. This stuff looks foriegn to me.

The 18 spline is worth a good bit more than a 23 spline, 23s 150-250 or so, 18 spline, 500+, average 600-650. However the 23 spline will take plenty of abuse, 18 spline is more fro bragging lol!

Old gm stuff is sorta foreign to me, but got a 70 gto vert sitting here, major project that a friend hasn’t touched in years. So I have some experience on them. New stuff, I’m on my 6th f-body, so I guess I’m a regualr there, my old man has a 86 t-type at his place, hasn;t let me drive it yet, grrr!

Alright enough of getting your thread off topic!

I’m just posting it for my dad. I really have no idea what it is worth, but with all the rest of the parts, I would think it is worth more than the values you posted for just a transmission. I know he will entertain offers.

What condition is the GTO in? I like '70 GTOs best of the later years. I really like the '64-'67 cars more, though.

Well an e-body setup may bring 2500, but I don;t think he’ll see over 1500 or so for everything, maybe close to 2k depending on condition. If you do a price breakdown, it wouldn’t add up that high.
