I have been out of the Turbocharged “loop” for quite a few years now, and I am not aware of many of the new aftermarket toys that have come out.
I am looking for a Gauge-Pod mounted Boost Controller, and dont even know where to begin looking. I have found one, but it appears to have been discontinued, and is in Bar anyway, I would prefer in. and PSI.
If anyone knows of one, it would be greatly appreciated!
All of the functions it offers, Tach, output, shift light etc are not needed, and one important hookup-(tach) will not even work with a Gen-3 Viper…they dont communicate with the Tack like any other car I have seen. (all digital bus communication) Unfortunately, it isnt analog either.
LOL, I can read Bar, it isnt all that complicated. However, for matching sake, I would prefer PSI. Remember, what I am putting together will be an available package to the public at some point. I have to consider consumer wants and needs, not whether it is good for myself.
I will check for the first version of the e-boost.
The original e-boost could work, but I still would much rather have an analog unit. It never fails… I always want what isnt available! Unfortunately, its not something I could have “made” either.
One thing I cant tell for sure, is the e-boost2 an ADDITION to the e-boost lineup, or did it replace the original unit? a few websites list the original as if it was still available…?
the omori in my car has always been good to me. it comes in dif mm sizes too i think. backlit red with white needle (if you care about that sort of stuff)…and it wouldnt take up too much room. mine fits neatly in a havc vent.
Turbosmart makes one, page 95 of the new jegs, shows RPM, boost mapping, 2 shift lights, and can read in kpa, bar or PSI, its almost 500 bucks, but its small. PN 911-ebc26640si
