Guiness > *
Guinness in america is crap. Now in europe…
If you like stouts you need to expand your selection. Look into Boddingtons or an American Imperial like Brooklyn Choc Stout or Thirsty Dog Siberian Night.
i hate stout…but did have a guiness shake…that was decent.
i think its guiness + Brooklyn Choc Stout
Sounds interesting. I am not a fan of mixing beers but I dont think any harm comes from mixing beers so thick and dark.
Any guiness in a bottle sucks, bottles only have CO2, no nitrogen…Draft or in a can w/ the nitrogen ball is the only way to go. Boddingtons is good, but I prefer Guiness. I spent a lot of time in europe and found guiness suits my tastes better than any other stout. :dunno:
guiness is dah shiznit what you talkin bout willis… can or draft only though
microbrews are like anal… overated and expensive
Error 1:expensive -Microbrews are usually cheaper than Macro
Error 2:overated - Microbrews cover every range and usually have a better and more complex flavor than Macro. Belgian Macro is normally right up there or above the level of the best American Micro due to their process and refinement.
All American Guinness is of lower quality and taste than the Guinness of UK and alot of Europe. The Extra stout that I was speaking of does not need the Nitrogen levels that regular guinness requires. At the extra stout alcohol and thickness level, there is little carbonation present. Why does Guinness send us the weak stuff? Who knows, but they probably base their distribution judgement on our popular Macro’s like Bud and Coors. Your comments about Micro tells me that you are new to the quality beer scene. I do not think guinness is total crap, but I never buy the stuff since there is comparable stuff with a little more complexity/flavor/abv.
oh god someone from WV telling me about the civilized world :jerkit: dude, i lived in southside, drank so many micro brews, and to be honest they’re more the image than the taste. yeah some are fantasic, but alot are just ehhh beers with cool labels. :dunno:
F@ck where you live. So now because of where I live changes my level of sophistication, or my taste for fine foods or alcohol? You are not worth my time. I have been in Europe for several weeks, and have been taught how to appreciate many things by my family (who actually live in PA). Go down to D’s off of 376 and tell them all micro is overrated. I have more Microbrews aging than you have probably tasted. The place you live will never make you better than someone. Beer is my thing, and I am part of a large group of beer lovers. Go to the beeradvocate forums and tell them Guinness is the best shit ever and microbrews suck. Congrats on living in the southside, but your taste for beer is not so refined.
I think Whitey had some Hoegaarden a few weeks ago when I was up… All the shit he had was amazingly delicious. I wouldnt know where to find it down here though. Sam Adams is in stock at the gas station across the street so…
