cowl does work, but you need to make a ton of power to use it right

yep…vortex kinda thing…pressure differences…cowl hoods do work
the way most hoods deflect airflow it hits the middle of the windsheild, that pushes it up over and down in. Same reason most cabin intakes are right there on the cowl.
chevelles came with cowl induction hoods, and so did cavaliers…
