They still pull a traditional chute at the end of that. It is an alternate form of BASE jumping which technically gives you a little more control. It’s still awesome, but I think a normal BASE jump might be scarier, since you fall faster, and only straight down.

Anyone ever see that special on TV about one of the most experienced BASE guys ever who tried a stunt with one of those suits and hit the bridge he was trying to narrowly miss by going over the top of it? It was pretty gruesome.

They were 2 good friends who jumped out of the plane at the same time, the one guy went under, the other guy was supposed to go over, but cut it too close. The guy who went under, who survived to tell the story and shoot the TV show, had footage of him jumping down into the base of the Eiffel Tower from one of the cross-members, it was sick.

Yeah people do some wild stuff for an adrenaline rush though!
