But now EA has this thing where you can DL the game before its release… anyone done this yet? I don’t know if I should DL it or just pick it up at the store…

DC was a “patch” basically… that updated everything from 1942 - 2002
What Soecial Forces is, is a patch that will take BF2 and change everything to Special Forces unit… very cool… Rainbow Six I’m thinking.
jay - I think you will need BF2… I suggest you buy it used, its still $$ in stores… then you buy this. I’ll probably buy it in stores… I bought HL2 online… it was pretty cool, but when I re-formatted my PC I had 6 gigs of games I downloaded that were gone… :tdown:
Is it possible to burn a game to DVD once you download it? If so I would be all for it.
probably… HL2 used steam, which ruined it.
BF2 comes in DVD format, 1 disc…
you can borrow mine if you want to do some 1 player, but if you want to use the multiplayer function you have to get your own key.
you will also need the NO CD crack so you don’t need my disc.
Hmm I have problems with Keys. I can’t play FEAR in multiplayer anymore. I’ve tried other keys but they dont work either.
I may have to take you up on that offer.

Either way, it sounds like this download works like Windows update: On the day it’s released, you’ll get a tray icon notification and the full version will start to download… but do I want a hard copy just incase? Hum…

I actually like STEAM, hated it at the beginning. There have been times when I was bored stuck at a family function etc. (with broadband) and owned some terrorists to pass the time :tup: I like that you are a few (large) downloads away from playing your games away from home.
I LOVE Amerca’s Army!!! Shit, I started playing in the summer of 2002! That was version 1.2 Back then, what it is at now, 2.5 or so?? I should pick it up again… I still host 2 or 3 teamspeak servers as well.

heh me too. played that game all through college. yeah its up to 2.5 now. lots of insane maps. free games kick ass.
