better then a vtech sticker on a honda **pic**

maf for the real data

map sensors are also on the car from the factory, and do in fact feed data back to the computer, but this doesnt seam to interfere with modifying the maf signal via safc or other piggyback systems

it has not been dertermined why the 3g’s come with a map, and there is no apparent benifit of disconnecting it or modifying its signal

edit: if you look at the above engine picture you can see it, just above the coil packs there are 3 sensors on the intake, right one is TPS, left one is ??? and just flat mounts to a tab, center one is angled on a tube that coes into the plenum, that middle one is the MAP

SHOs have something like that too. Its a BAP sensor, Barometric Absolut Pressure used to measure atmospheric pressure for precice calibration of the MAF readings, but noone has seen a benefit or detriment to modifying or removing that sensor. Just some redundancy I guess.

^^^ wouldnt a bap sensor be measuring ouside air pressure ? i think my 84 firebird had a barametric pressure sensor on the firewall IIRC

i had a 1 bar map sensor with a mafs too, just for obd2 stuff according to the FSM.

now its a 3.5 bar, does that mean i should put a kavlico decal on my car?

then i guess that sensor should be on the floor in my bedroom next to boosted3g’s 2nd o2 sensor … or on my basement floor next to his front cat …

didnt realized i had left any obd2 type parts on the car … woops

intimidating:touchy:

if he was gonna be a gay ricer he could have at least taped shit off to paint, looks like “oh, show tomarrow, lets make the engine chrome…:::spray spray spray:::…that’s good enough…no one will notice the overspray right??..awards here i come”

^^^ those engines arent pretty to begin with, opening your hood at a show will only hurt you …
