Black Friday - Best Buy

If anyone has Best Buy elite or above status you can buy all Black Friday items online right now with free shipping included. I know they were giving away elite status for free a few months back so guessing alot of ppl do. Early access was supposed to start around noon today but all deals are up.

Already scored a TV for the basement LG 55" 1080p LED 120hz for $499 and got the Microsoft Surface at $199 for the wife.
I’ve never waiting outside in the cold with all the crazies, my time is worth more than the savings…lol.

Can you order me stuff? I will give you my best buy card number.

Sure, what are you looking to order? I had a PM from some asking the same.
They limit everyone to 1 of each item, what are you looking for? A few things are sold out but not much, they never sent out an email letting everyone know. I found out by accident this morning.

I already purchased:
Microsoft Surface $199
LG 55" LED 1080p 55" $499
Sharp 50" LED 1080p $399
Kindle HD $99
16gb flash $5.99

Flash SD card or Flash USB drive?

I bought a 16GB Flash USB drive, but they also have a bunch of SD cards too.

16GB SD - 9.99
32GB SD - 16.99
64GB SD - 34.99

Flash drivers are
32GB - 11.99
64GB - 24.99
128GB - 49.99

Hmm surface for $199 I really want one and so does the mrs.

That’s who I bought it for, I made another thread about the Surface as my wife needs something for work. For $199 preloaded with MS Office I pulled the trigger. We have until 1/15 to return it too.
I’ve heard rumor that the Microsoft Store (in-store and online) will be dropping these for $199 on Black Friday.

In my cart, PM me your info (CC with exp/sec code and whether it’s a BB credit card or BB Mastercard, and the address you want it delivered to)
The earliest ship to delivery date is 12/4.

Sorry for the delay, had to get my 1 yr old back to sleep. Let me know if you still want it.

Damn I’d love me that lg tv…

Enjoy your new tv!

does it have to be a bb cc?

This was a one day pre-sale for elite/elite plus members only. Payment could have been anything, not just BB cards. I guess the set aside amounts did sell out quick and the President of Mktg sent out the below note mid-day. I’ve always had my reservations about Best Buy but they did a really good job with this…saved over $1k in two minutes sitting in my warm house, can’t beat that.

To thank you for being such loyal Best Buy customers, we have secured more inventory of our best My Best Buy Early Access doorbuster deals than we ever have before. These deals are going fast so I invite you to take advantage of this unique window of opportunity before we open it up to more customers throughout the week. Some of my favorite deals from this Early Access event are:

Samsung 65” 120 Hz LED HDTV at $999 ($500 savings)
Microsoft 32 GB Surface at $199 ($150 savings)
LG 55” 120 Hz LED HDTV for $499.00 ($500 savings)
GoPro HD Hero 3 for $249.99 ($80 savings)
Kindle Fire HD7 for $99.99 ($100 savings)

I bought GTA5 for 37 bucks. Feel bad for people who paid more than 40 bucks for a used copy. :stuck_out_tongue:

I read online that the LG is not a True 120hz, I am also interested in this TV for my basement but don’t want to buy something that is low quality.

Do you have any insight on this?

I did some research on this as well before I decided to buy. It has TruMotion 120hz which is LG specific, so it will display 120hz but video input only allows for 60hz. Most TVs won’t even accept higher than a 60Hz video source even if they are rated at 120Hz or 240Hz. Most source material is recorded at 60Hz, 3D video is an exception. Since this TV is not 3D it doesn’t really become an issue.

I actually called LG is this a new model and had no reviews anywhere, its basically a non-smart version of the 55LN5700 and with one less HDMI input. This isn’t my main TV, putting this down in the finished basement for the bar/pool table area. I have a 54" Panasonic THX Certified Plasma in the great room and a 100" going in the media room. For 499 I might as well give it a try and see how the picture looks.

I read an article a few days ago that said there are some cheap black friday specific models. I cant find the article. Your story of calling LG seems to go in line with that.

Yep, basically same thing they admitted to. They make these models specifically for BF, they take a pre-existing platform (the LN5700) and just strip down the features, Smart capability, ports, etc. But for $499 I’m not expecting a $2k picture quality, just good enough to watch while I drink some IPA and shoot pool.

They guy from LG was pretty upfront about it, he said really any “doorbuster” no matter what make/model TV is not going to be the same one you would buy non-BF. They still have the same internals, just not as much of them…lol.

I got best buy to match sears pricing on a 42" LG 1080p 120hz yesterday. $399 and no wating in the snow either.

Sears had them 10-15 days out, and best buy had them in stock, pretty sure it isnt just a stripped down model.

That is the 42LN5400, same thing its a non-smart TruMotion 120hz LED with 2 HDMI ports. Decent pickup.
