I scooped one of these up during the sale and realized I have no use for it. It will be returned if not sold before Christmas. I am accepting trades but want cash mostly.

If you put it up for the $199 you bought it for (or $99 if you bought it through a RIM employee like I did lol), I’m sure it’ll sell alot quicker.

I didn’t even use it. I purchased it because of it being on sale with two possibilities.
- Sell it after for more
- Return it anyway within 30 days (if it does not sell)
They can’t even give these things away man, pretty sad. It’s a cool toy from what I’ve seen but I don’t need it really so never planned on using it. For the price you almost can’t go wrong - granted you plan on linking it to your current blackberry.
For 99, or 199 its a solid piece. I use it for web browsing on and off the road, as you can bridge it to your Blackberry and use it’s data, bbm from it etc etc. Video is unreal, 1080p on a 7" screen looks fantastic. Its thin, light and compact.
For 500+, not a fucking chance. No dedicated mail app until you bridge with your BB. The apps on it are weaksauce compared to iPad. Maybe it’ll change when it combines with Android, but at the moment, weak.
i bought my mom a Kindle Fire ($199) only to find out the amazon store doesnt work in Canada for apps.
still, it’s a very attractive piece.
the BB browser is terrible on phones, is it better on a playbook?
i can’t even check my e-mail accounts not linked into the BB
For whatever reason, the browser is way better on the Playbook on WiFi as well as bridged (using the BB’s data).
Most annoying thing is the lack of dedicated mail app, but they’re saying it will be an update in Feb.
That is true, I worked for Kobo Technical Support. Kindle only works in the USA but you can use Mobi files from other sources/torrents for the Kindle. If you have any problems you can PM me

Why would someone pay 300 for this… lots more brand new in 200-250 range on craigslist, that’s where i got mine… Still needs more work IMO but it could be a lot better through updates and fixes… Has the potential just not there yet

Wicked buy - They did drop the 32GB not to long ago, boxing day, I think to $249. I wanted one but Christmas came around and the managers (4) all got a rather fancy bottle of alcohol so that changed my plans.
P.S Just got an e-mail from The Source claiming 64GB Playbooks at $299.99! They are certainly doing a blow out…
