I would too, UNTIL the warranty is up…then small block all day long.
I seriously doubt the MB power plant costs $50k more to make.I also didn’t know this was a 7 series vs MB 65 thread. The original post was made about the engine. I am comparing a TT v12 to another TT v12. You will never own either, so I guess what ever car they put them in or how much they cost is a rather moot point.
It must suck being dumb, yes they both are tt v12’s yet they aren’t in the same price point so comparing them is stupid. Why not throw every tt v12 into the equation, I mean hell audi has a tt v12 that makes more power and more torque than both motors so I guess both motors suck right? Thank god for the ignore feature. I didn’t realize you could tell what I can and what I can’t afford based on my posts, nice touch though.
you guys think this is the best bmw could do? someone just made over 600whp on a stock block, stock turbo 335i. Bmw specifically mad this to compete with mercedes. They dont care about titanium rod, huge liter ls7’s. :picard:
there goal was to make a fast comfortable luxary that handles great and looks good. The fact that ZF designed this tranny tells me it will probably hold more then its current power.
You people need to look past the numbers and start looking at the car as a complete package. I dont even think many realize the technology in these motors to make this kinda reliable power.
But hey, someone should buy it and swap in a small block.:picard:
+1 They also take into consideration MPG and how smooth, linear the power band is. It’s probably very conservative, if BMW is thinking about a M7 then why would they want to make car a possible m7 buyer would want or buy before the M. It’s a luxomobile made to effortlessly accelerate, I’m sure it does.
its ugly. it has the potential to look great but the “mouth” in the lower bumper looks idiotic.
