sigh Let me break it down for those of you who feel my price is too high even though it says not to be afraid to make an offer…
Yes tire rack charges $108 USD for these before shipping. That’s $432 for a set before taxes still. Factor in shipping, I live in central toronto near downtown. $123.32 for shipping. Add $65.73 in HST tax, and $30.24 for duty charges, and keep in mind there is a Ontario Tire Stewardship fee of $23.36 for a set, and $20 tire rack brokerage fee, that brings you to a total of $694.65 USD convert to CAD that’s a total of $688.99 And keep in mind exchange rates change day to day.
And considering these are BRAND NEW with stickers clearly still on them. And clearly manufactured during 30th week of 2011 I really don’t think $700 as a asking price is that high. Keep in mind that naturally when dealing on the internet people tend to lowball. So I set my asking price at $700… $11.01 too high clearly… >_>
So unless you live in the United states, or unless you live right by the border. I think my asking price is quite fair.

To be fair, the shipping, tax, duty, enviro fees, brockerage are all SUNK costs for you. You shouldn’t ask people to compensate you for that, those fees don’t make the tires more valuable.
Are you kidding me? this has got to be the dumbest statement i’ve ever heard. Go get a quote from your local tire shop for a set of these please. Or go on tire rack and get a quote yourself and tell me how much it is.
Let me focus at least on two of these “fees”. How can you say that tax and OTS are sunk costs? If you try and buy tires in ONTARIO… focus on ONTARIO. YOU MUST PAY TAX AND OTS. Taxes are there for a reason, everyone pays unless you’re a native. And OTS MUST BE CHARGED for brand new tires that are being sold in ONTARIO. There is no way around it. If someone tells you they won’t charge you for OTS… they are charging you for OTS cause they’ll factor it in regardless they’ll probably just tell you otherwise.
The fact that you think that shipping, tax, duty OTS, brokerage are sunk costs is ignorant on your part. I’m not asking for compensation. Those are fees you will be paying yourself to get these tires whether it be from tire rack or from a local tire shop.
If you get from a local tire shop. They won’t tell you about shipping, duty, or brokerage because that will be factored into their retail price of the tire for you anyways. Please get your facts straight people. Ignorance is bliss.
