X…

bryan, you should be down at the convention center yesterday, today, and tomorrow. there’s your chance buddy. buy a home for 10k, put 60k into it, and have it be baller as fuck just the way you want it

^lol at buying a home for $10k, and never being able to sell it.

what?
you can buy some places with a lot of potential at auction. obv its not gonna sell for much if you dont put money into it. but just like building a car then selling it right away loses a ton of coin, so does doing that with a house

I would like to see the neighborhoods that these low priced houses are in. A lot in a decent neighborhood should be worth at least $30k.

hes talking about tax and mortgage foreclosure auctions. you would be surprised how cheap you can get houses in decent areas.

^ I understand, but the really cheap ones are usually in the ghetto. I looked at a couple of foreclosures and they were in the $75k range and still needed a good amount of work.

Any house for 10K is in the ghetto, plain and simple.

I do basically all of the construction management for the real estate company I work for and unless you have a TON of free time to devote to contracting the house yourself I would suggest against it.

What I am going to do is something a little extreme. I am going to first buy about 20-30 acres cash. Then I will build a nice 6 car or so, two story barn/garage. The top floor will have a bathroom/kitchen/bedroom set up. Small, yes, cheap also yes. The Amish will build one for sub 15K. (Frame,Roof, Install your bought windows.) Then save money until I can build my dream house with cash. Then when the house is done I will have a nice guest room/house and plenty of garage space. I hope to have payed a minimum amount of interest, and yet have a very nice set up. But I’m nuts so yah.

Not sure what the law is on this today, but i know back in 95 when my father wanted to do the same thing the town of lancaster told him no, he had to build a house first.

As long as there is “living space” you can probably do it.
Like he said. “bathroom/kitchen/bedroom set up”.
